Course objectives

The course forms the key competences of conceptual scientific expression of the student, the ability to work with professional literature and its interpretation. The aim of the course is to prepare an introductory project of the bachelor thesis and the theoretical part of the thesis. The aim of the course is to apply the acquired knowledge, skills of acquired research methods and techniques in the processing of a specific problem, thesis design, individually or in teams to participate in the analysis and solution of model situations related to the solution of the final thesis.

Learning outcomes

Under the guidance of the supervisor, the student will demonstrate the ability to:  independent work,  define a problem, analyze the topic under study, appropriately choose the objectives of the thesis,  work with literature and other sources of information (search, sort and generalize information),  search for and choose an appropriate method to solve the problem,  follow the ethical principles of scientific/professional work,  prepare and manage an undergraduate thesis project.

Syllabus

• Projekt bakalářské práce bude obsahovat:  popis problému, který bude v bakalářské práci zpracován  cíl a dílčí cíle, kterých chce student prací dosáhnout  rešerši odborné literatury, navrhované publikace, které budou tvořit jádro teoretické části práce  osnovu bakalářské práce, plánované rozčlenění na kapitoly a podkapitoly  cíl praktické části bakalářské práce  rešerši realizovaných šetření a výzkumů v oblasti  návrh na zvolený typ výzkumu, výzkumné metody, plánovanou skupinu respondentů, způsob zpracování  harmonogram celé přípravy bakalářské práce. Po schválení projektu student zpracuje teoretickou část práce, přičemž bude citovat aktuální odbornou literaturu včetně minimálně jednoho zahraničního zdroje. Prostudovanou českou i zahraniční odbornou literaturu bude postupně kompilovat a zpracovávat dle navržené osnovy práce. Případné nové podkapitoly bude konzultovat se svým vedoucím, zdůvodní jejich zařazení. Student bude ve vyhledávání dalších zdrojů aktivní, bude se snažit pracovat pouze s aktuální odbornou literaturou, pokud charakter práce nevyžaduje starší zdroje. Při zpracovávání práce se bude snažit o stylistickou a gramatickou čistotu, bude ctít pravidla autorské etiky, dodržovat pravidla pro přímé a nepřímé citace. V závěru semestru vyhodnotí plánovaný harmonogram tvorby bakalářské práce a písemně zdůvodní jeho případné neplnění. Pokud vedoucí práce jeho důvody uzná za relevantní a zpracovaná teoretická část odpovídá stanovených požadavkům, udělí studentovi zápočet. Student musí aktualizovat harmonogram dalších kroků tak, aby zvládl dokončení práce ve stanoveném termínu. The bachelor thesis project will include:  a description of the problem to be treated in the bachelor thesis  the aim and sub-objectives that the student wants to achieve with the thesis  literature search, proposed publications that will form the core of the theoretical part of the thesis  outline of the bachelor thesis, planned division into chapters and subchapters  the aim of the practical part of the bachelor thesis  a search of realized investigations and researches in the field of  proposal for the chosen type of research, research methods, planned group of respondents, method of processing  timetable of the whole preparation of the bachelor thesis. After approval of the project, the student will prepare the theoretical part of the thesis, citing current literature, including at least one foreign source. The studied Czech and foreign literature will be gradually compiled and processed according to the proposed outline of the thesis. Any new subchapters will be consulted with his/her supervisor, justifying their inclusion. The student will be active in the search for additional sources, will try to work only with current professional literature, unless the nature of the work does not require older sources. The student will strive for stylistic and grammatical purity, respect the rules of authorial ethics, observe the rules for direct and indirect quotations. At the end of the semester, he/she will evaluate the planned schedule for the production of the bachelor's thesis and justify in writing any failure to meet it. If the thesis supervisor considers his/her reasons relevant and the theoretical part of the thesis meets the requirements, he/she will award the student credit. The student must update the timetable of the next steps in order to be able to complete the thesis by the deadline.

The student is obliged to consult the assignment with the assigned supervisor. The condition of the credit is that the student enters the completed and, above all, approved assignment of the thesis into the IS.SLu system by 15 November 2023 at the latest (according to the instructions on the UPPV website).
