- 1. Assigned tasks - a written essay the length of about 5 A4 pages. Moreover closely specified topic is selected from the course syllabus. Literature, which will benefit students, is not to be limited to the titles marked as required reading. The deadline is 4 weeks before the Examinations period. The essay is evaluated according to the required quality for univeristy studies, professional elaboration and the resources used. Unsatisfactory work will be returned to students for revision
2. Preparation and approval of individual tasks and participation in the consultation group is a prerequisite for obtaining credit.

- Course objectives
- LECTURE The aim of lecture is to familiarize students with social pedagogy as an integral part of the educational disciplines. Discussion will cover various topics that form the backbone of social education, such as the beginnings of social pedagogy, and in other European countries, the concept of social pedagogy and subject matter, and also link the field to other disciplines. Lectures will focus on current topics, such as assistance in crisis situations, and education in a multicultural society SEMINAR Seminars are focused on practical lessons learned from the lecture in working with children and youth at risk of socially pathological phenomena. Students acquire practical skills in the creation of methodological papers, which can be applied in the development of minimum prevention programs.

1. The origin, development a subjectof social pedagogy.
2. History of social pedagogy.
3. Education - definition, characteristics, forms.
4. Education and manipulation.
5. The attitudes, prejudices, stereotypes and tolerance.
6. Environment - typology, effects, function.
7. The natural environment - the family.
8. School and classroom climate.
9. Healthy Lifestyle - promoting healthy lifestyles of children and youth.
10. The personality of a social educator.
11. Demographic characteristics of the Czech Republic and the resulting problems.
SEMINAR
1. Educational goals - taxonomy of educational objectives, the procedure for the determination of educational objectives.
2. Sample and work with the methodical sheets on hHuman´s Rights in the Czech Republic related to social pedagogy.
3. Sample and work with the methodical sheets on children´s rights in the Czech Republic related to social pedagogy
4. Relations within the group - measurement options (Sociometry), evaluation of the data, graphical presentation of observed data.
5. Methods of social-education activities - method of pedagogical environment.
6. Methods of social-education activities - an interview.
7. Social-education activity in low threshold - characteristics of facilities, quality of work, specifications of work in low threshold.
8. Programs promoting healthy lifestyles to primary and secondary schools - analysis of the current situation, possibilities of support, practical proposals for the incorporation of minimum prevention programs.
9. Burn out syndrome - diagnosis, stages, prevention
10. The issue of aging population - seniors and leisure (analysis of the data, an overview of our leisure activities, the confrontation of supply and demand found in completed surveys ).
11. Group creation of methodological papers on selected topics of social pedagogy.
