The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
LECTURE The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the theory and practice of family life, various functions of the family, its typology. Attention will be paid to the previous "pre-parental" relational stages - partnership and marriage. The course will be focused on the specifics of the Gypsy families and the possible family pathologies. SEMINAR Course Seminar on Education for Marriage and Parenting will be focused to develop and deepen topics of the course lectures Education for Marriage and Parenting, especially with an emphasis on issues of marriage and family relations and the factors that affect marriage and parenting. Attention will also be paid to some less traditional partnerships and selected family pathologies.

    1. Choice of partner in terms of differences and intersexual partner myths.
    2. Primary family, expectation, motivation.
    3. Marital cohabitation - financial management and housekeeping. Education of children.
    4. Sexual cohabitation and family leisure activities.
    5. The concept of family and its function.
    6. Family Education.
    7. Typology of the family.
    8. Family pathologies.
    9. Marital and family counseling.
    10. Education for marriage and parenting.
    SEMINAR
    1. Differences between a man and a woman.
    2. Choosing a partner, family formation, marriage rituals.
    3. Stages of family life.
    4. Parenting, motherhood, fatherhood, sibling.
    5. Partner Communications. Marital conflict.
    6. Educational styles.
    7. Disowned parent syndrome.
    8. CAN syndrome.
    9. Mixed marriages, bilingual education.
    10. Sex education at school and at home. Content, methods and resources.
    11. Education for parenting, prevention programs focused to sex education.
