- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills in the use of applications for project management, both at the theoretical level, and particularly at the application level. The course familiarizes students with the basic grant programs in regard to the EU strategy. The main objective of instruction is to develop knowledge and skills for the use of ICT in project management. After the successful completion of the course, students will be able to present basic knowledge and skills in project management, both in general and with the use of ICT for project management. They will gain an overview of the practical use of software products in various stages of solution. Based on the assigned semester work, they will learn to create projects using ICT. Study Outcomes: Professional Knowledge: Students can define the basic strategic objectives of the EU in the framework of grant programs of the new period until 2020, they are able to characterize development trends in the subsidy policy of the EU, to describe the basic features of software products for project writing, they know the nature of the subsidy policy in the Czech Republic and they can determine its significance in improving competitiveness. They are well informed about the strategies of subsidy policy and they are able to use softwares to create a fundamental analysis for a project both in content and economic terms. They can describe the use of information and communication technologies in addressing technical issues in the area of subsidy programs. Professional Skills: Students can use the expertise in the field of EU subsidy programs, they are able to apply modern technology on practical examples and they can apply modern methods and approaches in the field of project management. They actively present their own views or the opinions of their team. They know how to use ICT for organizational, presentational and analytical work. General Qualification: Students will acquire basic knowledge and overview of the extensive issue of subsidy programs of the EU in the context of the European integration process and the development of key Union policies and institutions. They will be introduced to the methods, principles and implementation of the possibilities of drawing means from EU funds in the Czech Republic, including an introduction to the basic documents necessary for project processing.
