Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim is to provide a basic understanding of the terminology, history and content of the activity in the availability and quality of social services. Also briefly outlines the issues the legislative basis for the social services in the country, typology of social services and also covers supervision in the helping professions such as prevention of burnout. Students are introduced to the basic phases of community planning and content quality standards of social services. The intention of the course is to provide a functional link theoretical base with practical application of acquired knowledge.
Syllabus
  • 1. Definition of social services, the availability and quality of social services community.
    2. Trends in the historical development. Legal regulation of social services in European countries.
    3. Development of legislation governing the conditions for the provision of social services in the Czech Republic since 1990. The formal and legal framework to ensure the availability and quality of social services, a Czech-British project. The Law on Social Services, types of social services.
    4. Community planning of social services, basic concepts, basic characteristics and definitions of social services community planning, its objectives, benefits and mission, principles, participants KPSS.
    5. The basic charter, organization and rules of procedure, the creation and consolidation of organizational structures KPSS.
    6. Phases process of community planning of social services.
    7. Public participation and social service users in the process of community planning of social services.
    8. History and overview of the development and social service quality standards and criteria. Inspection of social services.
    9. Characteristics of the individual standards of quality, teamwork, management and generic quality standards. Goals and ways of providing social services.
    10. Protection of rights of persons dealing with the prospective service, the service agreement.
    11. Individual planning of social services.
    12. Documentation for the provision of social services, complaints about the quality of social services, links to external resources.
    13. Personal and organization of social services, the professional development of staff, spatial and temporal availability of social services provided, information on the provision of social services, environment and conditions, emergency and emergency situations, increasing the quality of service provided.

Teacher's information
The condition for obtaining credit is processing a paper in minimum extent of 7 pages on a topic that the student chooses from syllabus of lectures or seminars object. Literature from which students will draw, will be a minimum range of 3 degrees from the circle of literature and basic 1 title from the circle of literature recommended. The basic criterion for assessing the quality of paper will demonstrate the ability to work with texts, with an emphasis on linking suitable individual authors propositions into a coherent logical framework and the ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practice. STAT students surrendered at least two weeks before the start of the credit week that the teacher had the opportunity to work to evaluate and possibly return to reprocessing via e-mail. The consultations (personal, electronic) student may use the time for resolving ambiguities in the processing tasks.
