- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic aspects of senior age tourism. The course focuses on the characteristics of the elderly in the tourism market, mapping the current market situation and defining its most important characteristics.
- Learning outcomes
- Professional knowledge: Having completed the course, the student can define the basic characteristics of tourism of seniors, taking into account the segmentation by age, lifestyle, marital status and the so-called functional age. Students will understand the specifics of supply and demand of services and products in the field of tourism focusing on seniors.
Professional skills: Having completed the course, students can analyze the offer of services in the tourism market for the elderly. Based on the analysis, they will be able to design suitable tourism products for seniors in practice with regard to the specifics of each group.
General qualification: Having completed the course, students can map and analyze the current situation of the tourism market for seniors. They can identify important conditions for the development of tourism of the group with with specific needs. - Syllabus
