Course objectives
The aims of subject (annotation) The aim of the exercise is to teach students to adequately describe the case, write a concise casuistry. Next, the flexibility to react on the personality of a particular client in developing the case studies so that though the difference of personality matches the final result of work of the task assigned to the students. Students will learn how to make conclusions from individual casuistry, discuss and present the case using an adequate written record of casuistry.
Learning outcomes
Expertise: Students gain knowledge of case processing in various fields, not only social work. The student will acquire the structure of the case report, the way of formulation of the individual case reports and the possibilities of case report in practice. Professional skills: The student is able to describe the case on the basis of an interview with the client and to make a case-by-case and a formal case. Qualifications: The student is able to process case by case report, choose a suitable strategy for obtaining information and is able to use and apply his / her knowledge and skills in practice.

  • 1. Qualitative examination of a senior's case - case study, diagnostic methods
  • 2. Key concepts, goal setting, types and functions of case studies
  • 3. Formal and content requirements of a case study
  • 4. Mistakes and obstacles in compiling a case study
  • 5. Specifics of a senior's case study, working with anamnesis
  • 6. Processing the results of observation and interview
  • 7. Processing additional information from document analysis, questionnaires, etc.
  • 8. Drafting a prognosis and suggestions for the senior's development
  • 9. Worker's self-diagnosis, analysis of the interaction between the worker and the senior
  • 10. Compiling a case study, error analysis
