  • Professional work experience will be implemented on an ongoing basis (for part-time students according to their schedule and the possibilities of the facility in blocks), totalling 110 hours per semester in the selected facility. The work experience will take place in the scope of 13 weeks, 8 hours at the facility each. Continuous practice will be accompanied by supervision seminar of 6 hours per semester.
  • As part of the work experience, students obtain information regarding the mission of the institution, its history, the composition of client groups, organizational structure, staffing, links to other facilities and to the local community, relevant legislation, etc. Information associated with the performance of professional activities of the student in direct relation to educational activities with clients will be considered as key.
  • During work experience, students will carry out six days of shadowing activity, including educational activities, and six of their own educational outputs for an appropriate group of the elderly. Students consult their educational outcomes with the responsible facility employee (i.e. their supervisor), then implement the educational activities under their supervision. Inspection of class activities is recorded into record sheets (to be provided to students as part of the work experience paperwork before its onset). The output proper becomes part of daily work experience records in the structure provided by the relevant documents.
  • Shadowing of classes and the output are part of daily work experience journal in the structure of the relevant document. Students prepare a professional work experience journal. The structure of the journal is given by the instructing pedagogue.
  • Educational outcomes will be processed according to the methodical structure. A necessary condition is the implementation of specified number of output items.
