Course objectives
The aim of the lectures is to introduce students to the subject of psychology and applied psychology disciplines, especially social psychology, personality psychology, psychology and health. Education is conceived as the basis of psychology for managers. At the same time it aims to contribute to self-knowledge, the development of student's personality as well as self-expression. The subject simultaneously forms a natural starting point for many other disciplines in teaching, focusing on communication, management, but also for human resources, marketing, andragogy, etc.
Learning outcomes
The student explains the key historical prerequisites for the emergence of psychology. They characterize the developmental stages of psychology, including its major figures, and define the various psychological disciplines. They explain the factors influencing an individual's psychological traits and their relationship to the environment, work, and the self. They characterize the specific aspects of psychological development from cultural and social perspectives. They analyze the factors influencing the system of values ​​and norms during the socialization process. They explain the nature of attitude formation and the development of a value hierarchy. They characterize sources of motivation and theories of motivated behavior.
