Course objectives

According to practice of purchasing management in various types of organizations the goal is to offer students the knowledge, skills and abilities which enable the effective and continuous procurement of material inputs (goods, materials, machinery and equipment) and intangible inputs (services) in required quantity and quality at optimum price and payment terms. Furthermore, students will be able to select and manage supply entities.

  3. Identification and satisfying of business needs.
  4. Strategic planning of purchasing
  5. Operational planning of purchasing.
  6. The classification of purchasing inventories types.
  7. Operational inventory management of purchasing.
  8. Supplier selection and supplier evaluation process.
  9. Purchasing logistics management
  10.Quality management in purchasing
  11.Management of information flows in purchasing.
  12.Electronic purchasing.
  13.Organizational structures of purchasing.
