Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to motivate students to prepare their original student ideas or young projects to the initial stage of real commercial start-up.
Syllabus
  • 1st Seminar: Business and Business Team
    Introducing the concept of a workshop, starting a business story, demolishing all myths about starting a business, tips on how to find / prepare your business plan and a practical approaches to creating a business team.
    2nd Seminar: Minimum product, business model CANVAS and networking
    Based on lift pitch, choosing the business plans we will work on, dividing into business teams, working with the first half of the CANVAS business model, and dismantling the meaning of networking.
    3rd Seminar: Business model, marketing, copywriting, law and bureaucracy
    Disassembling the second half of the CANVAS business model, explaining the meaning of marketing and introducing tools for starting a business, the importance of copywriting in practice.
    4th Seminar: Demand survey and testing
    Training a practical demand survey in concrete steps, including an explanation of how to proceed in case of unfavorable results.
    5th Seminar: Money, capital resources for start-ups and investor
    The importance of money in the start-up phase and minimizing costs in the initial development phase. The advantages and disadvantages of capital resources for emerging commercial firms, and explaining the practical approach to communicating with the investor, including self-presentation and negotiation. Additionally, the preparation of a complex business model, including cashflow and return calculations.
    6th Seminar: Basics of Business
    Introduction of basic business practices, business philosophy, business strategy, initial call handling, communication at business meetings.
    7th Seminar: Company Structure and Philosophy
    Explanation of company philosophy, the process of its creation and the disassembly of appropriate tools - vision, mission, goals, story, brandbook, graphic manual, code, dress code, etc.. Company structure, including rules, systems, career order, definition of competencies and responsibilities.
    8th Seminar: - Business plan defense
    Summary of all the interviewed, last queries, tips and tricks. Consequently, the final presentation of all the business plans, which is to provide with constructive feedback and recommendations.

The basic requirement for a successful passing exam is an active involvement in the work on the student's idea. The subject is awarded on the basis of a final business plan defense in the form of a presentation.
