- Course objectives
- The subject gives students a general view of manager techniques that include negotiation, mediation and negotiation in critical situations. It makes students familiar with correct procedures of group work, manipulation techniques, basic assertive rights and procedures. The subject is also focused on typology of interpersonal conflicts, it provides students with practical skills for solving problems. Students get acquainted with pathological types of negotiators and techniques of managing problem negotiation.
- Syllabus
- 1) Basic steps in negotiation, cooperation and competition while negotiation, setting aims, transformation from positions to interests.
2) Non-verbal process of negotiation, practising of typical situations.
3) Creativity in negotiation, techniques of solving problems, pathological types of negotiators.
4) Hermann typology of personalities.
5) Conflicts and their types, psychological basis for solving problems, communication techniques and procedures.
6) Techniques of solving problems of low intensity, negotiation.
7) Techniques of solving problems of medium and high intensity, mediation.
8) Facilitation, couching.
9) Stages and procedures of mediation.
10) Mediation and negotiation causes, practice.
