Course objectives
The subject gives students a general view of management techniques that include solving conflicts, negotiation, mediation and negotiation in critical situations. It makes students familiar with typology of interpersonal conflicts and gives students practical skills for solving problems. Introduces students to correct procedures of group work, with work style and teamleading, meeting organization and solving problems in group work. Students will get acquainted with communication basics of coaching, delegation, giving and accepting feedback, style and approaches to leadership, motivation and influencing of people.
Syllabus
  • 1. Manager and conflicts solving, conflicts in a workplace.
    2. Techniques for succesful coping and solving of conflicts, style of conflicts solving and choice of solving approach.
    3. Negotiation, strategy and procedure of negotiation.
    4. Mediation in management practice, conflicts, conflict and dispute suitable for mediation, stages and procedures of mediation.
    5. Manager and his team, teamwork, forming and development of the team, team roles.
    6. Work meating, manager as presenter and facilitator.
    7. Techniques and methodes of solving problems in group.
    8. Leadership and development of employee, motivation, influencing and persuasion of employee.
    9. Leading styles, coaching.
    10. Delegation and feedback.
