- Course objectives
- The course is focused mainly on obtaining a basic theoretical overview of leisure time pedagogy. Acquisition of basic technical terminology. Students apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
- Learning outcomes
- Expertise:
- student is able to describe and characterize leisure pedagogy
- the student knows the basic terminology that relates to leisure pedagogy
- the student is able to describe and classify leisure institutions according to various classification criteria
Professional skills:
- the student is aware of the importance of free time for human life
- the student is able to evaluate the negative and positive effects of individual leisure activities on the basis of the above information
General competences:
- the student is able to use selected information for the implementation, organization and planning of leisure activities - Syllabus
- 1. Leisure time pedagogy - profile (content, division of terminology, methodology).
- 2. Free time - definition, characteristics, half-time, tied time, half-time.
- 3. Determinants of leisure behavior - theory, models, factors. Leisure intervention options.
- 4. Development of the personality of the educated individual during leisure activities (use of experiential pedagogy).
- 5. Education outside teaching - functions, goals, dimensions, current concept.
- 6. Methodology of game activities - selected areas of leadership and game management, entering rules.
- 7. Game systems - Swiss, championship, elimination, organization of sports tournaments.
- 8. Social environment of educational facilities - youth home, children's homes, school club and school club.
- 9. Intentional and functional forms of education in selected leisure facilities (youth home, low-threshold facilities for children and youth).
- 10. Leisure time of seniors - definition, characteristics, meaning, methodology, preventive meaning, learning dividends.
- 11. Personality of a leisure time pedagogue - typology, competences, risks associated with educational activities.

- Assessment methods
- Active participation of students in seminars and processing and presentation of assigned tasks by the teacher is a condition of admission of students to the written test. Passing a written test, which consists of closed questions. To complete the credit, the student must answer correctly and obtain at least 21 out of 40 points in the test, which corresponds to the scoring scale (51 points out of 100 points) according to the scoring system on the university scale.
