Course objectives
The course introduces cultural tourism as one of the leisure activities focused on the presentation of culture, cultural traditions and heritage of a particular region and location, in a form of travel. It combines educational and recreational elements, assumes an active approach of clients and as a result contributes to increasing their knowledge and cultural horizons. It focuses on specification of currently developing sub-specialisations of cultural tourism that have the potential to contribute to the development of regions associated with visiting cultural and cultural-historical institutions, monuments and events presenting customs, traditions and evidence of material culture.
