Předmět umožňuje studentům seznámit se s chováním nelineárních systémů včetně základních astrofyzikálních aplikací.

Hlavní témata předmětu jsou: • Dynamické systémy - historie a motivace • Program Wolfram Mathematica • Posloupnosti, logistic map, bifurkace • Fraktály a jejich dimenze • Diferenciální rovnice, fázový prostor, • Numerické řešení, funkce NDSolve • Hamiltonovský formalismus, pohyb v efektivním potenciálu • Oscilátory, Harmonická analýza • Poincarého řezy, rekurenční grafy, Lyapunovův exponent • Problém dvou a tří těles, malá porucha • KAM teorém • Stabilita Sluneční soustavy • Analýza časových řad
