Course objectives
The subject is aimed at familiarization of Social pathology with the essence of diagnostic and consulting services, individual counselling systems and problems, which is the area of pedagogical - psychological counselling. Furthermore, to acquaint students with the basic classification of psychodiagnostical methods, techniques and their practical possibilities of application.
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction - Definition of the subject and field. Objectives, purpose and function of PPDg. (Relationship) counselling, psycho-diagnostics and psychotherapy. Consultative systems. Ethics. Diagnostic competence. General features of counselling problems, the most common problems in different types of counselling facilities.
    2. Diagnostic process, its dynamics and structure.
    3. Communication, relationship, relationship advice and its functions.
    4. Clinical methods - observation, medical history, diagnostic interview.
    5. Conversation (Interview), types and structure of the conversations, the conduction of conversation.
    6. Case report
    7. Diagnosis of pathological phenomena within the group, options of intervention
    8. Game as a diagnostic tool.
    9. Psychodiagnostical activity - objective, strategies diagnosis. Clinical and psychometric approach. Diagnostic methods - classification, properties tests. Selected information on statistics.
    10. Parametric, non-parametric tests. The questionnaire methods.
    11. Pedagogical - psychological assessment of children. Psycho-diagnosis of disadvantaged schoolchildren (psychosocial, socio-cultural and health handicap).
    12. The problems solving of the children with behaviour disorders.
